Interesting facts

Lemon Eucalyptus was previously classified under the genus Eucalyptus, but botanists reclassified it to the genus Corymbia (Corymbia citriodora). It is an evergreen tree of the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), native to Australia, growing to a height of 25 to 40 meters. It has smooth white to light pink bark, narrow yellow-green aromatic leaves, and small white flowers. Australian Aborigines used eucalyptus sap for wound healing. The leaves release a strong lemon scent upon light touch. It gradually spread to subtropical and tropical regions of the world, where it is also used as an ornamental tree or for afforestation.

How it differs from other types of eucalyptus oils:

The main chemical component of Lemon Eucalyptus is Citronellol, which usually makes up 70-90%. In contrast, the radiata chemotype has 1,8-cineol (eucalyptol) as its main component and is rather stimulating. The citriodora chemotype, Lemon Eucalyptus, has calming effects on the nervous system, helps with anxiety, stress, and insomnia.

Aroma:
Fresh, sweet, and intense lemon scent with subtle balsamic undertones. It is clean, invigorating, and at the same time calming. It has a fresh effect and strong deodorizing properties.

Blends well with:
Basil, Mint, Tea Tree, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Citruses Lavender, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Jasmine, Ginger, Lemongrass.
