Lime essential oil is used for its cheerful, energizing and fresh aroma. It is also popular for its ability to lift the mind, clarify thoughts and clear the aura. It is so intense that only a small amount is enough for a diffuser or aroma lamp. Combines well with other citrus oils. It is also antibacterial, supports healthy immunity and stimulates all the senses . And as a bonus, it repels insects like mosquitoes, ants and baby lice.
In cosmetics, it is used as an ingredient helping to strengthen brittle nails and a blood-flowing component in preparations for cellulite and acne.
Limes originally come from Asia, today they are grown in Sicily, Spain, the south of Italy and France, where they were brought during the so-called crusades at 12 and the 13th century. You certainly know it from popular summer drinks and refreshing salad dressings.
There are two types of citrus essential oils – pressed or extracted from the peel of the fruit or distilled from the peel of the fruit. In our offer you will find a wide range of both types. For extracted citrus oils, avoid being in the sun for at least 12-18 hours after using them, in diluted form, on the skin.
