Magnolia

The magnificent white magnolia is also known as white sandalwood or white champaca (derived from the Indonesian Cempaka Putih). In Taiwan, its flowers are plucked from the trees before they open and the clusters are then strung on a wire, remaining fragrant for several days before withering. In Indonesia, it is arranged with jasmine in a floral garland worn by brides during traditional wedding ceremonies. White Magnolia essential oil is a favorite among perfumers for its rich and highly aromatic floral aroma.
