The unique 100% Organic Rose Oil SoZoLe Rose is produced by the traditional method of steam distillation from hand-picked flowers of the White Rose (Rosa Alba) in the Rose Valley, or the Valley of the Thracian Kings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This magical place represents a 120 km long strip between two mountain massifs, from which the intoxicating scent of millions of blooming flowers emanates about one month a year. Why is organic White Rose oil the rarest of all rose oils?

One drop of this gem is transformed from 60–70 aromatic flowers. In other words, to obtain 1 kg of this luxurious oil, approximately 6000-7000 kg of fresh, hand-picked white rose blossoms are needed. This is a huge amount and makes it an even rarer treasure than Bulgarian rose oil from Damask rose blossoms. Harvesting begins immediately at dawn when the open flowers contain the highest percentage of essential oils. Then they immediately travel to the more than 100-year-old “rose factory”, or distillery intended exclusively for the processing of roses. This distillery uses traditional copper vessels that add charm to the oil. Thanks to the strict technological and hygienic conditions, this is a tradition in a modern coat.

How to use it

1. Body care and massage – mix 4 – 9 drops of rose oil with 30 ml of carrier oil (i.e., 0.5%-1% dilution), for example, into apricot or organic rosehip or almond oil, and then gently apply to the skin.
2. Relaxing anti-stress bath – with a few drops of the mixture above
3. Skincare – production of creams, serums, masks and other skin care products
4. Perfume production – only the presence of rose oil in the perfume prolongs the intensity of the fragrance for 2-3 days

Behind the scenes of rose oil production:

Our oil is traditionally produced by steam distillation, which you can read about in detail in this article on our blog. A large number of human hands and loving care are required before reaching the final oil. The flowers are collected by hand after sunrise, when they are still sprinkled with morning dew and their petals contain the highest amount of essential oils (0.02-0.04%, exceptionally up to 0.09%).

Then they are transported directly from the fields in 10 kg bags and immediately travel to huge distillation vessels, where they are filled with water and go through the first steam distillation. Because the rose oil cannot be sufficiently separated, the first distillate travels to other vessels, in which it is distilled a second time. There it gets more complicated. By the end of the same working day, everything is done. The transformation of the magical “liquid gold”, as it is also called, is complete.
