In Hebrew, it is known as “Blood of the Maccabees” (dam hamakabim). Legend has it that it grew from drops of blood shed by the Maccabees in their battles with Hellenic invaders around 165 BC. It is a symbol of Israel’s Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism (Yom HaZikaron), which underscores its strong symbolism of courage, sacrifice, and memory.

Aroma:
Warm, herbal scent with honey and slightly camphoraceous undertones. It is rich, earthy, and at the same time gently sweet, creating a very calming and regenerative impression.

Dosage and Use:

• In massage oils: Up to 1% dilution (approx. 2-5 drops per 10 ml of carrier oil such as almond, jojoba) for massage of muscles and joints, or to promote healing and regeneration of the skin.
• In cosmetics (DIY): In a concentration of 0.2-1% in creams, balms, or oils for sensitive, inflamed, or mature skin, for healing scars and promoting collagen production.
