Abundance of wormwood
I thought I knew Wormwood well. But then I realized that the world is big and how many wormwoods there are on our little planet. Over five hundred species! And every part of the world has its own wormwood that it needs. We have it too and it is worth collecting it just before sunrise on a waxing moon, ideally during a full moon. Wormwood as a gift from the goddess Artemis
For me, wormwood is strongly associated with the goddess Artemis, the goddess of the Moon, whose twin is Apollo, the god of the Sun. Artemis is a powerful and mischievous goddess who loves to spend her time in the forests with wild animals. She has carried a bow and arrow since she was a child, but she never uses them to harm us. They are her talismans that help her focus her thoughts and intentions. She always manages to use her potential and achieve her goal. And she endowed wormwood with these abilities. It is a magical herb that helps us concentrate and focus.
Bitter or sweet
Wormwood is a very aromatic and bitter herb. I once read a fairy tale that sweetness and bitterness were matched, and which one a person likes more. But no matter what they did, people ignored them. So they went to a meeting with an old, wise and experienced owl, and she advised them that in order to reach people, they had to enter the herbs. And so all the herbs got together and started to act. And it turned out that almost every one of them only wanted sweetness. Some didn't care about either bitterness or sweetness. They just wanted to stay as they were. Only wormwood and earth gall accepted all the bitterness of the earth.
