Winter drinks with rose water

Rose Water Hot chocolate

Ingredients:

2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)

1 teaspoon rose water

Whipped cream (optional)

A few dried rose flowers and cocoa powder for decoration

Instruction:

In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm (but not boiling). In a mug, mix the cocoa and sugar. Add a little warm milk to make a smooth paste. Pour the mixture into the pot with the milk and continue heating. Stir until well combined. Remove from the heat and add the rose water. Pour into a cup and garnish with whipped cream, pink flowers or cocoa if desired.

Rose Water Spiced Tea

Ingredients:

2 cups of water

2 black tea bags

1 tablespoon rose water

1 cinnamon stick

2-3 cloves

1-2 tablespoons honey (optional, to taste)

Milk or lemon (optional for serving)

Instruction:

In a saucepan, bring water, with cinnamon and cloves, to a boil. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags. Allow to infuse for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength. Remove the tea bags, cloves and cinnamon. Stir in rose water and honey if you like to sweeten ;-) Serve hot, you can add milk or lemon.

Rose Water Mulled Cider

Ingredients:

4 cups apple cider

1/4 cup rose water

2 cinnamon sticks

3-4 cloves

1 star anise (optional)

Orange slices (for garnish)

Instruction:

In a large saucepan, combine the apple cider, whole cinnamon, cloves and star anise. Heat over medium heat until warm, but do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in rose water. Strain if desired (you don’t have to)and serve warm, garnished with orange slices.

Rose Water Chai Latte

Ingredients:

2 cups of water

1-2 tea bags of chai tea

1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

1 tablespoon rose water

1-2 tablespoons honey or sugar (optional)

Ground cardamom or cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Instruction:

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Put in the chai tea bags and infuse according to the instructions on the package.

In a second pot, heat the milk over low heat until warm.

Remove the tea bags and stir in rose water and honey if you wish.

Pour warm milk that you can froth over the chai mixture.

Sprinkle with cardamom or cinnamon before serving.
