Discover the power of castor oil, prized for centuries for its extraordinary medicinal and cosmetic benefits. This thick, nourishing oil is unique due to its high content of ricinoleic acid, which gives it powerful regenerative, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. It is also a natural source of antioxidants and vitamin E, which protect cells from external damage.
Castor oil offers a wide range of uses from head to toe. It has become a legend in hair care thanks to its ability to nourish the scalp, strengthen hair follicles and visibly promote healthy growth. It is equally effective in the care of dry body skin, nail beds or problematic acne-prone skin, which it soothes and harmonizes thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Composition:
100% cold-pressed oil from common safflower seeds.
INCI: Ricinus Communis Seed Oil
Country of origin: India
Aroma: Very subtle earthy aroma.
Use:
First, moisten the skin of your face or body with 100% flower water (hydrolate). Using the applicator, apply 1-2 drops of oil to your fingertips and gently massage in circular motions. You can also rub the oil into the lengths of your hair, eyebrows, or nail beds in the same way.
Benefits for hair:
Give your hair an intensive treatment. Castor oil penetrates deep into the hair follicles, supplying them with nutrients. Regular scalp massage with this oil promotes blood circulation, strengthens the hair structure from the roots and prevents excessive hair loss. The result is stronger, shinier and healthier hair.
Extra Tip: Regenerating castor oil hair wrap
Castor oil is very thick, so for best results we recommend the following procedure:
- Step 1 (Warm Up): Warm the oil slightly (e.g. by immersing the bottle in warm water). The heat opens the hair cuticle and increases the effectiveness of the ingredients.
- Step 2 (Dilution): For easier application, you can mix castor oil in a 1:1 ratio with a lighter oil (e.g. apricot or almond).
- Step 3 (Application): Apply the mixture to slightly damp hair with your fingers directly to the scalp and roots. Gently run the remaining mixture in your palms through the lengths of your hair.
- Step 4 (Heat): Cover your hair with an old cotton t-shirt or a shower cap. The heat under the wrap is key to deep conditioning.
- Step 5 (Action): Leave on for at least 30 minutes. For maximum effect, leave the wrap on overnight (remember to protect your pillow with a towel).
- Step 6 (Wash): Wash the wrap thoroughly with shampoo. As the oil is very nourishing, we recommend shampooing twice.
Frequency: Apply the mask once every 14 days. Visible improvement in hair quality usually occurs after 3 applications.
