The beneficial effects of oranges were already noticed by the ancient Chinese, Japanese and Arabs. There are no wild sweet oranges in the wild. We divide orange trees into two main types: the Chinese orange tree (Citrus sinensis) and the larger and more resistant Seville orange tree (Citrus Aurantium var. Amara), from whose fragrant flowers this aromatic flower water comes. Historically, the flowers of the Seville orange tree (neroli) have also decorated brides’ veils and wedding bouquets as a symbol of purity and virginity.
