Damascus Rose Oil is a 100% natural oil obtained by steam distillation of hand-picked flowers of the Rosa Damascena P.Miller variety, from the so-called Rose Valley around the Bulgarian town of Kazanlak. The “Bulgarian rose oil” you are holding in your hands is registered as an EU Protected Geographical Indication.

The quality of our rose oil

Bulgarian rose oil is recognized as the highest quality rose oil in the world to achieve 1 kg of this rare oil requires about 3500 kg of rose flowers Rosa Damascena P. Miller. Production process

Our oil is traditionally produced by steam distillation. A large number of human hands and loving care are required before reaching the resulting oil. The flowers are collected by hand after sunrise, when they are still sprinkled with morning dew and their petals contain the highest amount of essential oils (0.02-0.04%, exceptionally up to 0.09%).

Then they are transported directly from the fields in 25 kg bags and immediately travel to huge distillation vessels, where they are filled with water and go through the first steam distillation. Because the rose oil cannot be sufficiently separated, the first distillate travels to other vessels, in which it is distilled a second time and more complicated. By the end of the same working day, everything is done. The second distillate, unique pure rose water fills the containers and precious rose oil, which is lighter than the water collected on its surface. The transformation of the magical “liquid gold”, which, due to its high price, hardly reaches the end customer, is complete.

How it helps

How to use it

1. Body care and massage – mix 100 ml of carrier oil (eg almond, goes well with each other) with 1 drop of rose oil and then gently apply to the skin

Use rare oil sparingly. When used in small doses, it develops its fragrance and effective properties in the best quality.

Did you know that Damascus Rose oil, as the most complex oil (containing over 300 macro and micro components), is even used by NASA to lubricate the smallest parts of its instruments in space.
