Our Iris Absolute has a very thick consistency (it will not pass through a dropper on its own). It is not diluted! Before use, it must be heated (e.g. in a water bath) and possibly diluted in high-percentage alcohol or vegetable oil for better fluidity.

The root of the word Iris is derived from the Greek words meaning "rainbow" and "messenger." The Greek goddess Iris was said to appear in the form of a rainbow and bring divine messages to mortals. In Europe, the iris also became a symbol of the French monarchy (fleur-de-lys).
Irises (Iridaceae) are native to southern Europe and have been domesticated in Iran and northern India. The fresh root has an earthy aroma, but after two years of drying, a violet aroma appears, which becomes stronger with longer maturation.

Dosage and use:

• In cosmetics: In a concentration of up to 1% in your creams, serums or oils for luxurious skin care and regeneration.
• Personal perfume: Create your own roll-on perfume with diluted absolute in vegetable oil, or use it as a fixative in your own fragrance compositions.
